PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI DIGITAL DALAM EDUKASI HIPERTENSI MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA POSTER DI PEKON SINAR BARU

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases with an increasing prevalence and has become a significant public health problem, particularly in rural areas. The low level of community knowledge regarding risk factors, prevention, and management of hypertension has resulted in suboptimal prevention efforts. This Community Service (PkM) activity aimed to improve the knowledge and awareness of the community in Pekon Sinar Baru through the utilization of digital technology in the form of educational poster media, implemented by students of the Akhlakul Karimah Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) from Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu. The implementation method consisted of planning, digital poster design, health education delivery, and activity evaluation. The results indicated an improvement in community understanding of hypertension, including its definition, risk factors, symptoms, and preventive and management measures. The digital poster media were considered effective, attractive, and easy for the community to understand. This activity is expected to serve as a digital technology-based health promotion model that can be sustainably implemented in the community
