THE EFFECT OF CONSUMING BOILED EGGS ON INCREASING HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN ADOLESCENT GIRLS AT THE MADARIJUL ULUM CIHERANG ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL

Anemia in teenage girls in Tanggamus is still quite high. If it is not treated, anemia in teenagers will continue into adulthood and make a big contribution to AKI, premature babies and low weight babies. Anemia in teenagers causes fatigue, decreased concentration in studying, and can reduce body endurance. One way to prevent this can be done by consuming boiled eggs. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of consuming boiled eggs on increasing hemoglobin levels in teenage girls at the Madarıjul Ulum Ciherang Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study was 30 young female respondents with the intervention of giving 1 boiled egg per day for 14 days. The sampling technique
used purposive sampling. Variable analysis using parametric statistics T Dependent test. and Independent T Test. The results of the study showed that the average hemoglobin level before being given boiled eggs was 10,717 gr/dl, and the average hemoglobin level after boiled eggs were given was 11,360 gr/dl, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of consuming boiled eggs on increasing hemoglobin levels in adolescents. girls at Madarıjul Ulum Ciherang Islamic boarding school with a difference of 0.6 gr/dl (p-value 0.000).
