Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience. One of the most common problems following a cesarean section is postoperative pain. Delivery by cesarean section can result in a higher level of pain, approximately 27.3%. One non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce pain in post–sectio cesarea mothers is endorphin massage, which can induce feelings of calmness and relaxation. This research is to determine the effect of endorphin massage on pain among post–sectio cesarea mothers. This research was conducted at Asy Syifaa Islamic Hospital, Bandar Jaya, Central Lampung. The research used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental design and a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population consisted of post–sectio cesarea mothers, and the sample included 20 participants selected through accidental sampling. The research was carried out from June 23rd, 2025 to July 30th, 2025. Endorphin massage was administered twice, at 6 hours and 24 hours post-sectio cesarea. Data were collected using an observation sheet, and the analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average pain level before receiving an endorphin massage was 5.20, and decreased to 2.80 after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test produced a p-value of 0.000, which is below 0.05, indicating a significant effect of endorphin massage on pain reduction in post–sectio cesarean mothers. The findings conclude that endorphin massage has a positive effect on reducing postoperative pain. Health workers are encouraged to consider endorphin massage as a non-pharmacological option for managing post–sectio cesarea pain.
